Space race elevates Asia in new world order

In 1969, the United States landed the first human on the moon, beating the former Soviet Union in the Cold War-era space race.

Today, there are 77 space agencies around the world. Of the four nations which have reached the moon, three are in Asia – Japan, China and India.
