The week in whoppers: Brad Lander stands up for . . . gangbangers, Joy Reid can’t get past the Trump-Hitler comparisons and more

Diary of disturbing disinformation and dangerous delusions

This reaction:

“To watch as the federal government is starting to gin up these mass deportation raids, and our city is not standing up for our people, it’s heartbreaking.”

— NYC Comptroller Brad Lander, Tuesday

We say: Hmm. Are violent Tren de Aragua gangbangers his “people”?

Does Lander (a mayoral wannabe!) think the city should’ve stopped the feds from nabbing them? Would he have tried that as mayor? Yikes!

Minorities cheered President Trump’s ICE raids, knowing they’ll get dangerous, illegal-migrant criminals off the streets.

Who does Lander expect to vote for him?

This charge:

“We have decided . . . to demonize a certain type of immigrant . . . either from Central America or Mexico. They are brown.”

— Sunny Hostin, “The View,” Tuesday

We say: Wrong. The vicious criminal migrants ICE is pursuing demonized themselves — by breaking into the country illegally, committing crimes and acting like, well . . . demons.

Oh, and migrants (including suspected terrorists) have come from all over the world, not just “Mexico and Central America.”

They’re subject to deportation for breaking laws, not because of their nationality or skin color.

This comparison:

“Similarities to what happened in [Nazi] Germany and what’s happening now in America are just undeniable.”

— MSNBC’s Joy Reid, Monday

We say: Someone didn’t get the memo! All the left’s Hitler talk failed.

No one bought the unhinged claims that Donald Trump is Der Fuehrer 2.0.

In fact, many Americans resent the use of the 20th century’s greatest horror to score cheap political points.

Reid just keeps proving border czar Tom Homan right: “She’s dumber than a box of rocks.”

This question:

“How does President Trump make sure that [deporting illegal migrants] won’t [spark] even more higher prices?”

— CNN’s Jake Tapper, Tuesday

We say: Tapper suggests booting migrants who do agricultural work will boost the cost of farm labor, raising prices.

Yet as Trump aide Stephen Miller noted, the migrants President Joe Biden brought in “are not, full stop, doing farm work . . . They are in our cities.”

As for farmers, “there is a guest worker program” Trump backs. But the prez won’t allow “illegal aliens to rape and murder our citizens.”

Take that, Jake.
