President Trump has approved the use of a firing squad to execute convicted Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hassan, the Pentagon announced Monday.
“Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has recommended — and President Donald J. Trump has approved — death by U.S. Army firing squad for convicted terrorist Nidal Malik Hasan, the jihadist who opened fire on unarmed American soldiers at Fort Hood in 2009,” Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell wrote on X.
Hasan killed 12 US service members, one civilian and wounded 32 others during his November 2009 rampage at the Texas Army base.

Hasan was convicted of killing 13 people during the Fort Hood shooting in 2009. APParnell noted the Army-officer-turned-terrorist was “shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ during the attack.”
“The Secretary of the Army will set the time and place of the execution,” the Pentagon spokesman added. “Judgement day for Hasan has finally come.”
