A new web game is going viral for making users name 100 women as quickly as possible, paying tribute to a popular Twitch challenge.

In 2024, Twitch star QTCinderella challenged creators to try to name 100 women as quickly as possible, sparking many attempts by her fellow streamers.

The challenge spread like wildfire, with many streamers taking part and failing, while others had impressive runs. NorthernLion, for instance, managed to name 100 women in under seven minutes.

Now, ‘Name 100 Women’ has been made into a web game anyone can try for free, and it’s already had a ton of tries and some really stellar runs showcased on a leaderboard.

Players are naming 100 women at record pace

The web game was made by X user Katie Chiou, who delved into the rules in a post.

Notably, spelling doesn’t count, the women have to be notable/public figures, and fictional women are off limits.

According to Katie, after 10K completed games, “46% of distinct women were named only once, while the top 100 women account for 30% of all mentions.”

The top 5 most named women are Michelle Obama, Taylor Swift, Hillary Clinton, Beyonce and Olivia Rodrigo.

Women known for film, TV, or stage dominated with 12,985 entries. Sports came second at 7,208, followed by music with 6,769.

across 10K+ completed games, 1.2M+ submitted names, and 46K+ distinct women mentioned – some stats!

As far as the leaderboards go, the current record holder is ‘Stellar Aspen 23’ who named 100 women in a lightning-quick 2:02. Second placed ‘Gentle Badger 7’ took nearly three minutes.

This web game comes as more and more users are creating fun, free experiences for players to check out. Just recently, a Pokemon Go-style mobile game that transforms real-life cats into collectible cards went viral.
