Two police officers were among “multiple victims” injured in a shooting in downtown Minneapolis on Wednesday, officials said.

The shooting reportedly occurred near an apartment building on East Grant Street just before 5 p.m. local time.

“The Minneapolis Police Department is on the scene of a shooting in the area of 15 E Grant St. involving multiple victims, including two police officers,” read a statement from the City of Minneapolis’ X account.

Law enforcement urged the public to avoid the area as they investigate.
