A pair of decomposing bodies was discovered on an idyllic nature trail in North Carolina just days apart, police said.
A body was found on July 21 in Glen Alpine, about 80 miles outside of Charlotte, at the Mountain Nature Trail at Simpson Park, according to the Burke County Sheriff's Office.
An arrest warrant was issued for Jamar Quarmaine Propst, 36, and Tosha Lee Lewis, also 36, on July 25, and later in the day, another body was found on the trail, officials said.
One of the victims has been identified as Raheim McClain Murray, 31, according to the sheriff's office.
The identity of the second victim has not yet been confirmed.
Propst and Lewis have both been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of felony conspiracy. A motive has not yet been determined.
The suspects, who have been described as 'homeless' by the police, were not granted bond.
Several outlets have reported they are from Hickory, about 30 minutes outside of Glen Alpine.

Murray and the second victim's cause of death has not been released.
If convicted, Propst and Lewis can get life in prison or the death penalty for both charges.
The alleged killers are due in court on Monday, police said.
The Daily Mail contacted the Burke County Sheriff's Office and the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for comment.
Simpson Park is home to the nature trail, walking paths, playgrounds, green spaces, and more.
Glen Alpine is a quaint and rural small town that is close to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The area sees virtually no crime, with rates roughly 58 percent lower than the national average, according to Area Vibes.
