Umamusume devs have revealed another new addition to the ever-growing horse girl roster, with fan-favorite racehorse Titleholder set to join the game in a future update.
Titleholder was showcased during day two of the Umamusume 7th Event World Tour Event in Tokyo, where fans were treated to an exclusive look at the new horse girl alongside a surprise appearance from her voice actress.
The newly announced horse girl is based on the real-life racehorse Titleholder, one of Japan’s most successful long-distance runners. During his racing career, Titleholder won several major Grade 1 races, including the Kikuka Sho, Tenno Sho (Spring), and Takarazuka Kinen.
Titleholder is coming to Umamusume
Cygames confirmed that voice actress Yui Kanari will portray the character, where she appeared in full cosplay during the live show.
“My debut appearance as a secret guest, I was incredibly nervous, but you welcomed me so warmly, I’m truly delighted. Thank you for the best time,” the actress wrote on X following her debut.
While Cygames did not announce when Titleholder will become playable, they did give us details about her personality and background. According to the translated profile page, Titleholder is an Umamusume training to become the “strongest living creature” who knows how to throw a mean punch.
Cygames“[Titleholder] was active in the world of mixed martial arts, but became captivated by another Umamusume’s ‘strongest running style’ and came to Tracen Academy to learn it for herself,” reads the description.
“Stoic and disciplined by nature, she still carries over many habits from her martial arts training days, often placing herself in extreme natural environments in pursuit of further training.”
While the new Umamusume horse girl reveal is incredibly hype, Cygames also confirmed that Umamusume’s 7th Event World Tour concert will be heading to the US and the UK for the first time ever.
