Vernon mom charged after 4 kids left without food, clothes

VERNON, Conn. (WTNH) — A Vernon mother who was found in New York has been charged with four counts of risk of injury to a child after police said she left four children alone without food or clothing in a “deplorable” apartment, and didn’t plan to come back.

She abandoned an 11 year old girl, plus three younger kids. All three of the younger kids are autistic. Mom has been taking and hiding the older girls’ shoes, so that this child was forced to stay indoors and mind the children.Mom has been stealing items from her neighbors mail. An XBox has been taken. Children now with a family member.
