Sam Ward scored four goals as England men moved top of the Pro League table , externalwith a one-sided 8-0 win over Ireland in Argentina.
England had come from 2-0 down to win 3-2 in a shootout when the sides met in their opening encounter on Thursday, but this time they put on a penalty corner masterclass, converting seven of their 13 chances.
Sam Hooper collected the first of his two goals within the first minute with Stuart Rushmere adding a second soon after.
Ward then got on the scoresheet with a second remaining in the quarter to leave England in a commanding position.
Hooper netted again early in the second quarter to leave it 4-0 at the break before two more from Ward and a strike from Rohan Bhuhi, who picked off a pass out of the backfield to beat the keeper in the third, extended the advantage.
Ward had the final say in the fourth quarter as England finished their series in Santiago del Estero with 11 points - three ahead of Belgium ,with Ireland in sixth on one point.
