A new batch of freebies is launching in Wendy's locations. But there are some hurdles for customers to snag the priceless add-ons.
On February 21, the fast-food chain introduced a Girl Scout-inspired Thin Mints Frosty, blending the cookie's signature flavor and crunch with Wendy's vanilla or chocolate ice cream.
To celebrate National Girl Scout Day on March 12, the fast food chain is offering the limited-time Frosty flavor for some customers.
Customers are eligible for the free frozen treat by making a purchase through the Wendy's app or website while signed into a registered account.
The offer runs through March 12.
'Celebrate all of the fun and friendship with the limited-time Frosty inspired by the iconic Girl Scout Cookies,' the company said in a press release.
The company also announced that over 4,200 of its restaurants will host Girl Scout troops throughout cookie season, allowing customers to pick up the original snack at participating locations.
For those craving something salty, Wendy’s is also giving away free fries — but, again, there’s a similar catch.

On March 17 — to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day — Wendy’s is adding a free small fry to orders over $5.
Like the Frosty deal, the free fries offer is only available for app or online orders.
Wendy's app users can also play the Thin Mints Frosty Adventure game for a chance to win up to $10,000 in prizes.
Fresh Frosty?
Beyond the limited-time Girl Scout collab, Wendy’s is revamping its Frosty lineup with new mix-in options.
The company announced on March 6 that Frosty Swirls and Frosty Fusions are coming soon.
Swirls allow customers to add flavored sauces to their desserts, while Fusions take it a step further with mix-ins.
The brand hasn’t set an official launch date or revealed which flavors will be included.
Wendy's dropped two new Frosty options... more are coming soon
The restaurant's Frosty plan is part of an effort to build more locations
Fans have speculated that caramel swirls, brownie bites, and strawberry flavoring could be part of the upcoming mix.
Rumors are also swirling that the brand will release some fresh packaging for the dessert.
Wendy's is clearly modernizing its dessert fare after years of waffling through flavor options.
The restaurant has previously launched peppermint, orange, berry, and pumpkin-flavored remixes on the milkshakes in recent years.
Fresh Frosty flavors are part of a new draw for the company that is hoping to spike sales in the coming years.
Wendy's has set its sights on opening over 1,000 new stores. In its recent earnings call, the company said it hopes to operate 8,300 locations worldwide.
It currently has 7,240 stores.
