Somebody really has it out for the Hulk.

The life-sized Red Hulk statue outside The Lab Athletic Club in West Hollywood has been battered yet again, with the latest attack leaving the gym facing an estimated $6,000 repair bill.

Surveillance video posted by the gym appears to show a man attacking the statue around 1:21 a.m. Friday before ripping apart its upper torso and dragging the wreckage across Sunset Boulevard.

Police have been notified and a report was filed.

The bizarre destruction is hardly a one-time thing. The Red Hulk has become a recurring target since the statue was installed outside the gym last year, with previous attacks leaving more than $15,000 in repair costs before Friday’s damage was even counted.

In January, someone allegedly ripped off one of the Hulk’s arms. Then a skateboarder allegedly slammed into the statue’s face on Jan. 19, damaging its nose and mouth.

The Hulk had already survived puncture wounds to his chest during July or August 2025 and an apparent headbutting incident later that year.

Then Mother Nature got in on the action.

Powerful Santa Ana winds toppled the statue on Dec. 17, 2025, smashing it into dozens of pieces. The Hulk was professionally restored and returned to his usual spot outside the gym, only to become a target all over again.

This latest attack has the gym asking anyone who witnessed what happened or has additional video to contact law enforcement or privately send the information to the business.

“We put our time, money, and hard work into this business,” the gym said in its Instagram post. “Having someone damage our property is infuriating, and we are seeking accountability.”
