Yemen’s Armed Forces fired two missiles and four drones targeting the USS Harry Truman and Israeli military facilities, hitting their intended locations accurately.
The attacks, launched from Yemen’s coast, targeted the US aircraft carrier in the northern Red Sea and three Israeli military sites, including two near Tel Aviv.
"The missile force and the drone force of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a qualitative and joint military operation targeting the US aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman with two winged missiles and four drones," the Yemeni military said in a statement.
They further added, "The operation led to the failure of the attack on our country."
Additionally, Yemeni forces carried out two drone strikes on Israeli military sites in Yaffa and Ashkelon. "The first targeted a military target in Yaffa with two drones," the statement noted, "while the second targeted a vital site in Ashkelon."
The final strike of the day hit another Israeli military target in Yaffa. "The operations successfully achieved their goals," the forces confirmed.
Since October 2023, Yemen has launched operations in support of Gaza and Lebanon, which have faced escalating Israeli military aggression.
The strikes came amid continued US and Israeli attacks on Yemen, with Yemeni forces promising to continue their operations targeting strategic American and Israeli sites, including US warships and aircraft carriers stationed near Yemen’s coast. They vowed to persist as long as Israeli genocide and its blockade on Gaza continue.
