“Whoever wants to get to sleep comfortably has to leave for either Cyprus or their own country,” Hizam al-Assad, a member of Ansarullah's Political Bureau, made the remarks in a post on X on Monday.
Al-Assad reaffirmed that Yemen’s Armed Forces would persist with their pro-Palestinian strikes as long as Israel continued its offensive against Gaza.
He also emphasized that the Israeli regime must cease its attacks on Yemen if it wanted to halt the operations targeting Israeli interests.
“We will not leave Gaza alone,” he stated.
The official had previously warned that Israel would continue to face surprise military strikes from Yemeni forces as long as it maintained its aggressive stance towards Yemen.
“Our military operations will keep targeting the heart of the occupied territories,” he said.
“These surprises will last until the regime ceases its aggression and siege against Gaza,” Assad added, referring to the ongoing blockade imposed by the Israeli regime on the Gaza Strip.
Yemen's military operations against Israeli targets began in October 2023 in support of Gaza and Lebanon, both of which have faced escalating attacks from Israel.
The retaliatory strikes from Yemen have been met with intensified military aggression by Israel and the United States, its primary ally.
In response, Yemeni forces have increased their strikes against key Israeli and American targets, including US warships and aircraft carriers deployed off Yemen’s coastline.
