Marks & Spencer customers are overjoyed to see the release of M&S' new Cracked Shell Chocolate Sauce, now available in the M&S Foodhall.
The new sauce has sparked comparisons to popular ice cream sauces from the 1980s.
The major supermarket said: "[It's] a chocolate-flavoured sauce which hardens when drizzled on to ice cream.
"It’s super fun and will elevate your vanilla ice cream cone – perfect for this time of year!"

Shoppers have been reacting to the news of the new release on social media.
One user said: "Thank you for bringing a bit of my childhood back," with another consumer following up: "We had that in the 80s. Loved it."

The social media post announcing the new sauce generated over 1,500 likes within the first hour of being uploaded.
The M&S Cracked Shell Chocolate Sauce is also available for customers to buy online via Ocado for £2.50.
M&S Foodhall has also launched a new range of High Protein Bars after two years in development.
The bars have been meticulously crafted to ensure they "taste incredible", according to the retailer.

M&S says the wait was "definitely worth it" for these on-the-go snacks. The protein bars are designed to be enjoyed after a training session or as an afternoon treat.
They can be found in all local M&S Foodhall stores, with customers already sharing enthusiastic feedback about the new additions.
