Bradley Whitford is ready to return to the White House.

The actor tells me that it may be time to bring back “The West Wing” as a “limited series of some kind.”

Series creator Aaron Sorkin has had fans chomping at the bit ever since he told Variety’s Michael Schneider he was inspired to write more episodes while attending a 25th anniversary of the show at the White House in 2024. “I just got a couple of ideas for episodes just walking around the White House,” Sorkin said at the time. “Like, ‘why didn’t we ever do this? Why didn’t we ever do that?’”

Whitford inspired a “West Wing” reunion earlier today when his fellow castmates Martin Sheen, Dulé Hill, Mary McCormack and Josh Malina joined him at the unveiling of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“I’ll work him, I’ll work him,” Whitford said of trying to get Sorkin to commit.

Hill said the cast wouldn’t hesitate if Sorkin decides to write a new season. “I always say that’s a question for Aaron Sorkin,” he said when asked about a revival. “If he writes it, then I will come. I think if he writes it, then we all will be there.”

However, Hill continued, “Sometimes I wonder though where things are in the world. Things are so outlandish, I don’t know how you dramatize any of that. With him writing, it would be a lovely thing to hopefully steer the collective consciousness of our society back toward humanity and connectivity and understanding.”

Dulé Hill says the “West Wing” cast is ready to return if Aaron Sorkin decides to write a new season: “We all will be there.”

“The West Wing” premiered on NBC in 1999 and ran for seven seasons before ending in 2006. The ensemble also included Rob Lowe, Allison Janney, Richard Schiff, John Spencer, Janel Moloney and Stockard Channing.

The series won 27 Emmy Awards from 95 nominations.
