ANN ARBOR — In one of the most remarkable technological breakthroughs of the past millennium, scientists at the University of Michigan have successfully traveled backwards in time by one second.
Long thought to be outside the realm of possibility, the dream of time travel became a reality on Saturday night as the University of Michigan lab managed to turn the clocks back for one second.
"Wait, where did that second come from? No, that's impossible," said passersby, noting the time change in a very large, illuminated clock. "The only way is if there is some sort of rupture in the space-time continuum. It's the only explanation."
At publishing time, the scientists had announced that weirdly, their time machine only works so far when the University of Michigan is losing.
