Yet another move that Adam Silver has gotten wrong … the NBA has been on a roll lately!
Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers was hit with a $25,000 fine Sunday by the NBA after he criticized referees publicly regarding his team’s 115-114 defeat against the Charlotte Hornets, according to an announcement from the league.
Rivers contested that superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo wasn’t guilty of committing a foul while the Bucks were facing a one-point deficit with 7.3 seconds remaining on the clock, stating that Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball fell down after slipping. The Hornets were given the permanent lead after Ball hit two free throw shots. (RELATED: Timberwolves’ Julius Randle Hits Absolutely Cold-Blooded Shot That Sticks Dagger Right Into Suns’ Heart)
“I thought the final play was the ref blowing a call,” said Rivers following the contest. “This is back-to-back games now where on the final play there has been an incorrect call made.”
And the crazy thing was… The referees ended up agreeing with Doc.
“During live play we called illegal leg-to-leg contact,” stated crew chief Curtis Blair to a reporter. “During postgame review when we looked at the play there was no illegal contact on the play.”

How ridiculous of the NBA to fine Doc Rivers despite the referees admitting they were wrong… What a joke.
