That’s a wrap, folks. No more Caitlin Clark until 2027.

Thursday night saw the WNBA season come to a conclusion for the ex-Iowa Hawkeye and her Indiana Fever, suffering a 94-83 defeat to the reigning champion Las Vegas Aces in a decisive Game 3.

Aces center A’ja Wilson was an absolute star in the game, putting up a dominant 36 points in her team’s victory. By halftime, she already had 21 on the board.

Until the last two minutes, Indiana was able to keep things within single digits, but down the stretch, their shots weren’t falling. Winning the AP Comeback Player of the Year this season, Clark had 18 points when the smoke cleared, doing so on 6-of-18 shooting. (RELATED: Aces’ A’ja Wilson Confronts Fan In Intense Playoff Scene)

But that wasn’t the only thing on Clark’s game resume — she also had a bloody mouth.

With 3:16 left in the fourth quarter and the Fever facing an 82-77 deficit, Clark was popped in the face with an elbow from Las Vegas guard Jewell Loyd.

From there, Clark’s mouth was leaking blood, and of course, no foul was called.

Clearly a missed call, it’s just the cherry on top of an entire season defined by blatant amateur (or corrupt) officiating when it comes to Caitlin Clark.

If any other marquee superstar in professional sports took a direct shot to the jaw and came up spitting blood on national television, there’d be more than just whistles involved. We’d have fines, criticism from the national media, all that. We might even have a suspension.

But in the WNBA?

You’re allowed to beat the living hell out of Clark, no problem. Wild.
