Down goes Kansas City! Down goes Kansas City!
With 2:17 left in the game and facing a fourth down situation, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen punched in a 26-yard rushing touchdown to not only give his team a crucial 30-21 victory Sunday, but he also delivered the Kansas City Chiefs their first defeat of the 2024 campaign. The Bills were led by running back James Cook‘s two rushing touchdowns and Allen’s 12-yard TD throw to wide receiver Curtis Samuel, bringing them to a 9-2 record to tighten their gap between them and the 9-1 Chiefs in their battle for the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
Patrick Mahomes & Co. were the final undefeated team in the league, and on top of that, were on a 15-game winning streak. Their last loss was Dec. 17, 2023 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

As a Miami Dolphins fan, I’m happy to see the Chiefs lose to see the 1972 Phins’ record stay alive of being the only undefeated team ever in the NFL, but at the same time, the Bills winning doesn’t do anything for Miami in the 2024 AFC East race — we’ve won two in a row and are looking to get back in the playoff hunt.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not getting my hopes up as a pretty pessimistic Dolphins fan, but if the chance is there, it’s there, I guess.
