Concerning pictures showing a Japanese porn star covered with cuts and bruises have reemerged following reports that she was involved in a hit-and-run months before her death.
The pictures of Hana Kuraki show the 25-year-old with severe bruises on her knees as well as her wrist and knuckles.
The photos were posted by Kuraki on her public Instagram to her 147,000 followers on June 24, two weeks after she announced she was taking a “break for a while” from the adult industry in a post on X on June 7.
In a subsequent X post on June 23, she added that her “injury hasn’t fully healed yet,” but did not go into details.
Her last X post, dated Sept. 5, read, “I’ve been getting headaches every day lately… Why is that?”
The pictures of Kuraki’s bruises and reports of injuries have resurfaced following reports in Japanese media that she was involved in an altercation with her ex-boyfriend, Tokyo red-light district figure Shota Taira, around May 22.
Taira is alleged to have visited Kuraki’s home after she broke up with him, reportedly forcing his way in and seizing two cell phones before attempting to flee in his Maybach.
Kuraki was reportedly dragged by the moving vehicle while she tried to stop Taira from leaving, according to reports.
The adult star, who began her career in 2024, had played off the incident as a traffic accident.
Kuraki’s death was announced on Sunday after her body was found at an apartment in the red-light district.
It is being treated by authorities as a suicide, and Taira is not accused of any crimes in connection with her death.
On Monday, Kuraki’s agency said it was aware of posts on social media about “incidents that occurred with a specific person,” in a statement confirming her death, but did not name Taira.
The statement said Kuraki “was deeply hurt and suffered during her lifetime,” but did not give further details.
It also said the agency would be “cooperating with relevant parties as needed,” in the investigation.
