Ella Langley hit back at haters who have been “picking on” her days after beating Mariah Carey’s Billboard Hot 100 record.

“I don’t think I’ve ever had more opinions on myself in my life than I have in this last year,” the country music singer told the crowd at her Friday concert in Columbus, Ohio, per a video shared to TikTok.

The 27-year-old added that she has been criticized for “the way I look, the way I speak, the way I dress, the way I move, the way I sing [and] the way I write.”

Langley confessed the constant negativity “bothered” her at first.

“I was like, ‘What am I going to do about this? If this is what I’m signing up to do, I don’t know about this. I signed up to sing music and I love to do what I do, but if this is what it’s going to be the whole entire time, I mean s–t, I don’t know if I’m strong enough for this,'” she admitted onstage.

“The girl that they’re kind of picking on is the girl that got me where I’m sitting here today,” the “Choosin’ Texas” singer pointed out.

“That’s the girl that rode in a 15-passenger van night after night after night,” she continued. “She rode in a Honda Accord night after night after night, chased her dream, living on bar food, living on tip jar money.”

Langley said she “didn’t have anything” but a “dream and the ability to get up and do it every single day.”

“So I’m going to tell you right now. I am proud of that girl that everybody seems to be picking on all the time,” Langley concluded.

The “You Look Like You Love Me” hitmaker’s rant came days after her viral “Choosin’ Texas” single became the longest-running No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 list, surpassing Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which spent 22 weeks atop the chart.

After the historic achievement, Langley spoke out, gushing that she was speechless and couldn’t “find the words to help explain what’s going on in my brain today.”

“Thank you so much. Thank you for loving this song. For listening to it. I don’t even know what to say at this point,” she told her followers in a Sept. 22 Instagram video.

“I’m running out of hyperboles to describe how I feel, so I will just let my dog in the background show you his excitement.”

Carey, 57, has not publicly reacted to Langley beating her record.
