WHAT WE'RE WATCHING

🕌 Trump cut immigration from Muslim nations by 96 percent. State Department data show monthly immigrant visas and refugee admissions from 45 majority-Muslim countries dropped from 21,096 in December 2024 to 808 in February 2026. The cuts stem from President Trump's refugee pause, a 40-country entry ban, and a 75-country visa suspension.

🛂 State Department revokes over 250,000 visas. The Trump administration has yanked more than 250,000 visas since January, targeting visa holders who violated terms, committed crimes, called for violence against Americans, or endangered national security. Among these were 2,300 visas connected to birth tourism.

🗳️ DOJ investigates Texas Dems over "vote buying" video. An undercover video showed a Texas Majority PAC staffer describing a program that pays people $25 to attend a class on "why voting is important." The staffer called it "a roundabout way of paying people for their votes" and acknowledged Republicans would call it "shady as f**k."

⚖️ Supreme Court approves third-country deportations. The justices ruled 6-3 that the Trump administration can resume sending migrants to nations other than their home countries while the full case proceeds. Secretary Rubio has struck deals with up to 31 nations, and more than 25,000 migrants have already been removed under the program.

INSIDER EXCLUSIVE

A quarter century after the Islamist terrorist attacks on 9/11, Osama bin Laden’s case against America has found a home in our politics…

EDITOR’S NOTE

The world could have woken up to news of a hijacked plane, with hundreds of passengers held hostage in enemy territory, or dead. Israeli families with young kids would have been among them.

That didn't happen. It's a miraculous story.

But what I keep coming back to is how the story was told. The key facts were clear from the start. The plane was full of Israelis, flying from Dubai to Tel Aviv, and one of the pilots was Omani. Most Israelis put that together in about three seconds: this was an attempted terror attack. Obviously.

The American media saw it differently. Without confirmation from foreign governments, outlets like The New York Times spent much of the day describing the story like this: there was an altercation between the pilot and co-pilot that forced an emergency landing. The Times even floated the idea that the pilot was having a mental health crisis. Floating the idea of "terrorism," apparently, would have been irresponsible for such a respected institution.

This gap in perception is the real story. It's the difference between people who understand Israel and people who can't stop obsessing over everything it does.

Israelis live in an alternate universe, one that's also hard for me, as an American, to fully grasp. For them, terror isn't hypothetical. Their enemies surround them, and the attempts to kill never stop. Most of the people critiquing Israel from afar can't even imagine living that way.

So when a plane full of Israelis goes into a nosedive with a hostile pilot at the controls, nobody there needs a press release to know what happened.

❗️ Bad but not America's problem: “The European nations are in this position quite simply by electing weak people to be leaders. Let them reap what they have sowed.” — Matt

🚨 Huge problem for America: “We are a part of NATO and therefore subject to Article 5. Forgive the pun, but they are playing Russian Roulette.” — Andy

🤔 Unsure: Since we're in NATO, we'd be obligated to help, which could be a very big problem. But we could also defer and have the NATO nations try to take care of it first so we can stay out of a boots-on-the-ground conflict.” — Austin
