A diver was attacked by a shark 30 miles off Florida’s Emerald Coast on Tuesday, officials said.

The 40-year-old man suffered “significant” blood loss after the attack in the waters south of Pensacola, the US Coast Guard said, according to WKRG.

The diver managed to get back into his boat and met a rescue vessel carrying EMTs about 5.5 miles from the Pensacola Pass, the inlet connecting Pensacola Bay to the Gulf of Mexico, according to officials.
