Dolly Parton’s longtime manager is seeking a restraining order against the star’s nephew, Bryan Seaver, accusing him of issuing violent threats.
Danny Nozell claimed Seaver began “invoking his self-proclaimed military-contractor experience, access to weapons, and capacity for violence” in an attempt to extort Dolly’s manager for money, according to TMZ.
Nozell said he terminated Seaver after he launched a series of threats, intimidation, and coercion a few weeks prior to Parton’s passing.

Nozell alleged Seaver stated “I’m going to set up a podcast dedicated to ruining Dolly’s brand partnership and telling the violations these people have done on us,” according to TMZ.
In a flurry of text exchanges, Seaver is accused of writing, “All I do is warfare … everyone needs to be worried about what I might do.”
Other messages reportedly said, “I’m not an entertainment person. I’m a killer.” and “I’m going to ratfuck every entity I can possibly conjure.”
Nozell terminated Seaver Sept. 15. His legal filing seeks to prevent Seaver from interfering with Parton’s business and business partners and to ensure he remains 1,000 feet away from the offices.
Seaver pushed back against the allegations.
“Nothing in this lawsuit were threats and most of the comments I stand by,” he told TMZ.
He claimed the messages were taken out of context and made to appear as threats.
“I was talking frankly in a private way with Danny who I thought was my friend and he fancies himself a gangster,” Seaver told TMZ.

Seaver addressed the “ratfuck” comment.
“I was talking about people that have done bad to Dolly in business — a specific company that scared her and intimidated her. Those comments were about specific, horrible business partners that have done wrong to her and I stand by that,” he said.
It’s unclear if the temporary restraining order was granted.
Parton died Aug. 25 at the age of 80. Seaver announced her death in a video message posted on the legendary singer’s official social media account.
