Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzmán’s wife is ticked at TikTok.
Emma Coronel, 37, said that her main account on the social media platform was suspended, and claimed she didn’t know why.
And now, the former beauty queen wants answers.
“Hey, how’s it going? I’m a bit annoyed today because TikTok blocked my account for no reason,” Coronel said in a video on a new TikTok account Monday.
“They haven’t given me an explanation as to why, what happened, or what I supposedly did,” she said.
Coronel, who was born in San Francisco, Calif., and grew up in Mexico, explained that she was aware of TikTok’s strict guidelines and claimed she didn’t overstep any boundaries.
“I’m very careful not to break the rules – I make sure to do everything right – and yet, they still blocked me,” she said. “But we’ll keep moving forward.”
Coronel had amassed over 1.4 million followers on TikTok since she joined in August 2024.
Coronel, who served three years in prison for drug trafficking and money laundering, made her Kick debut in a livestream with Mexican-American influencers Luis Ordoñez and Guillermo Peña on Aug. 24.
“I went in to speak with my psychiatrist and psychologist, and they told me I needed to start doing things to break out of my routine – to see what motivated me – because I was slipping into depression,” Coronel said.
About 24,000 people now follow Coronel on Kick.
Coronel, who has 15-year-old twin daughters with Sinaloa Cartel co-founder El Chapo, joked that she may seek retribution on the person who reported her TikTok account while answering questions during a Kick stream Monday.
“I don’t want to speculate or name names since I haven’t received an answer yet,” she said.
“But once I do get an answer, I’ll spill the tea – I promise,” Coronel said. “And if it was something or someone from here, of course I’ll let you know so you can go take their account down.”
