GB News comfortably beat the BBC News Channel and Sky News in the ratings during a dramatic day for news yesterday.
The People's Channel had an audience 21 per cent greater than the BBC and was 16 per cent ahead of Sky on a huge day of political news.
The channel led the pack on the day that Andy Burnham laid out his plan for the country in his conference speech – and as First Secretary of State Louise Haigh told GB News rejoining the EU was back on the table.
She said: "He's been clear today that Brexit has had consequences; that it hasn't worked for our economy and for British people or British businesses.
"We've got the UK-EU summit later this year, where Hamish Falconer will be leading the negotiations for the government, and top of the list will be getting that food deal, which has driven up prices both for businesses and customers in this country and has put a border down the Irish Sea, so really risked sort of our relationship with Northern Ireland.
"So tackling that and getting that deal and that agreement will be really important."
She added: "The Prime Minister has been very clear that he will be setting out the position for the long-term relationship with Europe, our greatest trading partner, later in the year."
Britain's News Channel scored an audience share of 1.87 per cent yesterday, ahead of Sky on 1.62 per cent and the BBC on 1.55 per cent, according to official data from BARB.
Yesterday also saw GB News' first interview with Housing Secretary Angela Rayner, who said the Government is now "getting the rocket boosters that I asked for".
