Anyone who spent their childhood waiting far too long for the bouncing DVD logo to hit the corner of the screen can now relive that experience as an actual game.

Just A DVD Incremental is an upcoming indie from developer kealsoft-labs that takes the familiar screensaver and turns it into a game where watching the logo bounce around is the entire point.

Rather than simply leaving players to stare at the screen until the stars align, the game rewards each bounce and lets you purchase upgrades to speed up your progress. You can improve factors including the logo’s speed and efficiency, eventually turning individual wall bounces into much bigger rewards.

The ultimate goal remains the same as you remember: watching the logo land satisfyingly in the corner of the screen.

There’s also a customization system featuring unlockable cosmetics, including the ability to change the logo from DVD to VHS, allowing players to add flashy colors to their retro setup as they progress. It’s designed to be a relatively short incremental experience rather than something that demands hundreds of hours.

You don’t need to worry about it putting too much strain on your PC, either, as the minimum processor is simply listed as “Pretty Old,” while the graphics requirement is “Built in.”

The recommended specs jump all the way to a Ryzen 7 7700X and AMD 7900 XTX, although the developer admits: “This is just the best spec I tested on. I’m sure it does not remotely need this much power to function optimally.”

Just A DVD Incremental is currently scheduled to release on December 7, 2026, for PC through Steam, with a free demo already available to try.
