A 48-year-old man has been charged with murder after a woman was fatally stabbed in London yesterday.
Reports of a stabbing were first reported at around 8.19am on Askew Road, where two women were found with wounds.
Samantha Turner, 52, was pronounced dead at the scene despite the best efforts of emergency services.
Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The other victim was a 32-year-old woman, who was also taken to hospital after suffering non-life-threatening stab wounds.
Alan Dore, 48, was arrested at the scene and today charged with murder and attempted murder.
Dore, of Shepherd’s Bush, is due to appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, April 20.
Detective Inspector Richard MacKenzie, who is leading the investigation, said at the time: “Our enquiries continue at pace as we work to establish the full circumstances of this deeply tragic incident.
“Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the victim and injured woman.
“We believe this to be an isolated incident within a residential address, but we know it will cause concern locally.
“Our officers will remain in the area throughout today.
“We will update the community when we can, and I encourage anyone with any information, CCTV or doorbell camera footage which could support the investigation to contact us.”
