A man who was found stabbed when emergency services were called to a car crash in Staffordshire.
Officers were called to Orme Road in Newcastle-under-Lyme just after 5pm on Friday by West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Jamie Evans, from Stone, was found to have injuries deemed consistent with a stab wound.
The 20-year-old was taken to hospital where he sadly died.
A statement from his family said: "Jamie was so passionate about cricket and fitness, enjoying every opportunity to be active, challenge himself and spend time doing the things he loved.
"These passions reflected his determination, energy and zest for life.
"Although his life was far too short, the love he gave, the laughter he shared and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
"He will be deeply loved, profoundly missed and never forgotten.
"We’d like to thank the members of the public who so kindly went to Jamie’s aid and tried to help him."

STAFFORDSHIRE POLICE
A 20-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, from the Newcastle-under-Lyme area, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
They remain in custody and will continue to be questioned by Staffordshire Police after extra time was granted.
A 19-year-old man, from the Newcastle-under-Lyme area, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, who also remains in custody.
Anyone with any information or was around the Orme Road area at the time is being urged to contact Staffordshire Police, quoting Operation Weststar.

Norton-in-Hales Cricket Club in Market Drayton, who Mr Evans played for, paid tribute to him as an "exceptionally talented cricketer."
A spokesman said: "He was a lovely lad and a great friend to so many people within the club.
"To lose someone so young is incredibly difficult to comprehend, and Jamie will be sadly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him and sharing a cricket field with him.
"Our thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences are with [Jamie's dad] Paul, the Evans family, and all of Jamie’s friends and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time."

Also paying tribute was Stone SP Cricket Club, who said it was"deeply saddened to hear the heartbreaking news of the passing of Jamie Evans."
A spokesman continued: "Living locally, Jamie had many friends at the club and also shared the cricket field with several of our current players whilst representing Staffordshire cricket.
"He will be remembered as a talented wicketkeeper and, more importantly, a lovely lad.
"Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Jamie’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time."
