Meghan Markle embraces new daily routine after shocking move to the UK

Meghan Markle is reportedly taking reformer Pilates classes after moving back to the UK.

The Duchess of Sussex has been attending the fitness sessions at the private member’s club Soho Farmhouse’s “Wellness Barn” in Oxfordshire, according to the Sun.

A source told the outlet Markle, 45, “absolutely loves” the classes, and is using them to “unwind” and “make new friends.”

“Meghan has become a regular at the classes inside the Wellness Barn and she’s chatty and polite,” the insider continued.

Additionally, the source said “everyone in the classes gives [Markle] space.”

“It’s a very tranquil setting and no one wants to disturb her peace,” they added.

A reformer Pilates class is a full-body, low-impact workout performed on a sliding bed machine, rather than a mat, which is used for regular Pilates classes.

The Soho Farmhouse’s Wellness Barn is described as sanctuary with cozy cabins and open fires that offers “an escape from the stresses of everyday life,” according to its website.

The Barn has two treatment rooms, three ice baths, an ozone sauna pod and a wellness studio, with yoga, mat Pilates, reformer Pilates and meditation classes all available.

“By creating a dedicated area for these types of classes, members are able to fully immerse themselves in the relaxation of the Wellness Barn, from the moment they step into it, to the moment they leave,” the website says.

Page Six confirmed Markle had tea with a fellow mom at Soho Farmhouse earlier this month, but she was not photographed at the club.

The mom of two was later seen mingling with pal Ellen DeGeneres and the comedian’s wife, Portia de Rossi, at the Three Horseshoes near Burford, Oxfordshire in her first sighting since the move.

Markle took Pilates classes with friends while she was still living in Montecito, California.

“I have a couple of girlfriends up here — these are stay-at-home moms and working women with normal jobs, not in the public eye,” she told People last July.

“We went from just connecting through our kids to having girls’ nights out or doing Pilates together.”

The “Suits” alum explained she initially was “uncomfortable” about going to the fitness classes with 40 to 50 other people, but the routine eventually helped her find a community in Southern California.

“I mean, that’s part of how you connect. I love it. It’s the best,” she told the outlet. “I had missed it. It’s awesome.”

After six years of calling Montecito home, Markle and Prince Harry moved back to the UK with their two children in August.

But the Sussexes have run into multiple problems since traveling across the pond.

Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, were pulled from their first school just two days into the term as heavy traffic was straining their security team, while Markle’s phone number was leaked via a parents’ WhatsApp group chat.

Furthermore, King Charles III released a letter after the move, stressing that his son and daughter-in-law still aren’t working royals, but rather “private citizens with commercial and charitable interests.”
