‘Morning Joe’ Loyalists Fume Over Surprise Meeting With Hitler

It’s so joever for Joe and Mika.

Hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski announced Monday that they met with President-elect Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Friday to smooth over their rocky relationship. However, some fans — and even a prominent colleague at MSNBC — are outraged by their decision to meet with a man they previously compared to Adolf Hitler. “We didn’t see eye-to-eye on a lot of issues, and we told him so,” Scarborough explained Monday morning.

“What we did agree on, was to restart communications,” Brzezinski added. “Joe and I realized it’s time to do something different, and that starts with not only talking about Donald Trump, but also talking with him.”

Scarborough then made it abundantly clear that their meeting to smooth over and normalize their relationship with the Orange Dictator was not about normalizing the Orange Dictator.

“Don’t be mistaken. We are not here to defend or normalize Donald Trump,” he told viewers. “We are here to report on him.”

Well, a few loyal viewers didn’t see it that way. Jeff Jarvis, a media pundit and “Morning Joe” guy, said that Joe and Mika’s meeting with Trump was “betrayal of their colleagues, democracy, and us all. It is a disgusting show of obeisance in advance.”

One of those MSNBC colleagues, Katie Phang, host of “The Katie Phang Show,” dropped a “period” in her tweet to emphasize her point that “Normalizing Trump is a bad idea.”

Normalizing Trump is a bad idea.

Other fans on Twitter dropped f-bombs and said that Joe and Mika were “brushing the Cheeto dust from their noses” with their announcement Monday morning. It’s unclear what that would imply — do liberals think Trump offers Mar-a-Lago guests Cheeto dust on a mirror instead of cocaine, or do they think his manhood is just a heavily-dusted Cheetos Puff? — but it’s hilarious, nonetheless. I always knew MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika from Morning Joe were never to be trusted, especially with him being a MAGA lunatic back in 2015/2016 which is why I never watched their show and them visiting the orange felon at crime hub Mar-a-Lago proves it. Stop watching MSM.

Something tells me these loyal viewers are less upset by the meeting with Hitler and more by the fact that they now realize they have been duped all along. Trump is not Hitler, and Mika and Joe both know that, despite comparisons to the contrary. The fans are mad because the Mar-a-Lago meeting decimated a powerful narrative that gave their lives meaning outside boring old day-to-day life. They realize they are (were) stuck in a cave of MSNBC’s creation, watching dark, sinister shadows dance across the walls.

I pity them.
