Morrisons is giving one of its bakery staples a makeover this month, all in the name of a great cause.
The supermarket has temporarily renamed its classic Coburg Cob the "Cob for Care", with 25p from every loaf sold going directly to Marie Curie, the UK's leading end-of-life charity.
Each freshly baked cob now sports a bright yellow sticker in a nod to Marie Curie's famous daffodil logo.
Every single day, Morrisons Market Street bakers across the country handcraft over 50,000 of these cobs, getting to work at dawn — the very same hours when many Marie Curie nurses and healthcare assistants are finishing overnight shifts caring for patients and their families.

The "Cob for Care" is one part of a much bigger fundraising push called "Every Pack Gives Back". Throughout August, hundreds of promotional products are appearing on Morrisons' shelves and online.
This includes everything from Warburtons Crumpet Thins to Soreen Malt Loaf and Lenor Scent Boosters, with a portion of each sale going to Marie Curie.
The Morrisons and Marie Curie partnership recently hit a major milestone, having raised £7million so far. The supermarket has committed to reaching £15million for the charity by October 2027.
The "Every Pack Gives Back" initiative sits within a wider campaign called "Paint It Yellow" — a colleague and volunteer-led fundraising drive running throughout August. It brings together in-store events and volunteer collections across the country, including a national store relay where Morrisons locations "pass the baton" to one another as they fundraise.
The Morrisons loyalty scheme, the More Card app, is also getting in on the action, turning yellow for the month. Customers can donate their More Card points to Marie Curie in multiples of 1,000 — each worth £1 — via the app or the More Card website.
The retailer is also running a competition. Shoppers who activate the Marie Curie offer in their app and buy any "Every Pack Gives Back" product can enter to win one million More Points, worth £1,000.
Corporate affairs director at Morrisons, David Scott, said: "Marie Curie's dedication to people and communities up and down the UK could not be more important, so we are urging customers to pick up a special 'Cob for Care' and show their support for end-of-life care.
"Throughout August, customers can help raise all-important funds for Marie Curie by buying a product in our promotional Every Pack Gives Back range where a percentage of the sale price is donated to the charity."

Marie Curie clinical nurse specialist, Emma-May Ward, added: "Every day, I meet patients and families whose stories stay with me long after my shift ends. Every person deserves dignity, support and compassion at the end of their life.
"As a charity, we depend on the generosity of the public to fund the expert care we provide day and night for people who need us most. The Every Pack Gives Back initiative helps to raise vital funds so we can reach more patients and families when and where care is needed."
Carleton Rutter from Solihull, whose father received Marie Curie care, shared his family's experience. He said: "The way the Marie Curie team cared for Dad was incredible. It was like a real sense of, 'wow, we've got a break when they come in'. And when they were in the house, there was nothing you couldn't ask them. They were always really happy as well."
