A 65-year-old woman has been arrested on murder charges after authorities responded to a call of “unknown trouble” and found an assault victim dead in Pam Desert.
Officers from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office’s Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station arrived to the 35000 block of Gateway Drive at 9:47 a.m. Friday to discover “a subject suffering from traumatic injuries consistent with a physical assault,” the sheriff’s office said.
The suspect, Vicky Kim, was taken into custody at the scene before being booked in jail on the charges.
The incident occurred near The Enclave condo community, according to KESQ.
Yellow tape could be seen around the residential community. Homicide investigators from the Riverside Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit have assumed the investigation.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office declined to provide additional information, citing the ongoing investigation.
Police said the victim’s identity was being withheld pending family notification.
