Syrian pop singer Nassif Zeytoun brings his hits to Morocco’s newest landmark stage, with numbered seats from about US$51.
Nassif Zeytoun, one of the best-known male voices in modern Arabic pop, performs in Rabat on Saturday, 19 December 2026. The show starts at 8 p.m. local time, which is 2 p.m. US Eastern time.
The venue is the Théâtre Royal de Rabat, the theatre designed by Zaha Hadid in the Bouregreg valley. For expats and US visitors, the Nassif Zeytoun Rabat concert offers a major Levantine star in a seated hall.
The theatre, the promoter Original Entertainment Group and the ticket seller events.ma all list the same date and venue. Tickets are on sale now, and no seat category was marked sold out on Sunday, 11 October.
Who Is Nassif Zeytoun
Nassif Zeytoun is a Syrian singer who rose to fame by winning Star Academy, a pan-Arab television talent show. The theatre’s programme notes say he trained at the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus.
His style blends traditional Levantine singing with modern pop and electronic production. Fans across the region know him by the nickname “Abu Elias”.
According to the theatre, songs such as Bi Rabbek and Mesh Aam Tezbat Maae have drawn hundreds of millions of views. He also sang Majbour, from the soundtrack of the popular Arabic television drama Al Hayba.
He sings in Arabic, and no translation or English-language hosting has been announced. For a US reader, think of a romantic ballad singer with a polished pop sound and a very large regional following.

Why the Rabat Date Matters
Original Entertainment Group, the promoter, bills the evening as an exclusive concert. Its event page promises a selection of his greatest hits in a live setting.
The theatre’s current programme also lists shows by Guy Manoukian and Mo Amer, alongside classical concerts. The theatre links its opening to the capital’s ambition to become a major cultural destination.
For Syrian, Lebanese and other Levantine residents of Morocco, the date saves a flight to Beirut or Dubai. For American expats and visitors, it is an easy way into contemporary Arab pop culture without leaving the capital.

The Venue and How to Get There
The Théâtre Royal de Rabat sits in the Bouregreg valley, the river corridor between Rabat and its twin city Salé. Its curving shell was designed by the late Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid, the first woman to win the Pritzker Prize.
The theatre calls it her first building on the African continent. Princess Lalla Hasnaa, sister of King Mohammed VI, opened it, accompanied by Brigitte Macron, wife of the French president.
The main auditorium holds 1,821 seats and is built for theatre, opera, dance and amplified concerts. The complex also has a smaller theatre, an outdoor amphitheatre and a car park with 736 spaces.
Most long-haul visitors land at Casablanca’s Mohammed V airport, Morocco’s main international gateway, and continue to Rabat by train. Rabat-Salé airport is closer to the venue and handles flights from several European cities.
From central Rabat, a taxi or ride-hailing car is the simplest way to reach the theatre at night. Give drivers the address listed by the ticket seller: Vallée du Bouregreg, 10000 Rabat.
Tickets, Prices and House Rules
Tickets are sold through events.ma, the seller linked from both the theatre’s and the promoter’s event pages. Every seat is numbered, so you choose your place when you book.
Prices run from MAD 500 (about US$51) in Balcon 2 to MAD 2,000 (about US$202) for the Exclusive tier. Normal seats cost MAD 800 (about US$81), VIP MAD 1,000 (about US$101) and Carré Or MAD 1,200 (about US$121).
Balcon 1 costs MAD 750 (about US$76), and Prestige seats cost MAD 1,500 (about US$152). A meet-and-greet with an official photo costs another MAD 1,500 (about US$152) per person and requires a concert ticket.
Dollar values use the open.er-api.com exchange rate of 11 October (US$1 = 9.88 dirhams). Your US card issuer may add a foreign transaction fee on top.
Doors open at 6 p.m., two hours before the 8 p.m. start. The outer doors close ten minutes before the show, and the theatre gives no refund to latecomers.
The theatre bans food, drinks and water bottles, and smoking is forbidden anywhere inside. Photos, video and recordings are not allowed without the organiser’s express permission.
A dress code applies: jeans, shorts, beachwear, flip-flops and beach sandals are not allowed. Phones must be switched to silent before the show begins.
Tips for US and Foreign Visitors
US citizens do not need a visa for tourist stays under 90 days, according to the US State Department. Passports must have at least six months of validity on entry and one blank page for the stamp.
The State Department rates Morocco at Level 2, “Exercise Increased Caution”, in an advisory dated 21 April 2025. That is the second of its four levels.
Normal city precautions apply after a late show. Keep valuables out of sight and use registered taxis or ride-hailing apps for the trip back to your hotel.
Morocco bans taking dirhams out of the country, so change only what you need. Travellers must declare cash above MAD 100,000 or US$10,000, the State Department says.
Morocco runs on GMT+1 outside Ramadan, six hours ahead of New York in December. Friends following from the US can expect the first song shortly after 2 p.m. Eastern.
The Kasbah of the Udayas and the Hassan Tower stand near the river, a short drive from the theatre. Together with the old medina and the 20th-century new town, they form a UNESCO World Heritage Site inscribed in 2012.
What It Means for You
If you live in Morocco or plan a December trip, the Nassif Zeytoun Rabat concert is a confirmed, ticketed date. Book directly with events.ma rather than through resellers, whose prices and seats nobody has checked.
Budget about US$51 for the cheapest balcony seat and about US$81 for a Normal seat. Add transport from Casablanca or your hotel, and arrive well before the outer doors close.
Non-Arabic speakers can still enjoy the evening, since much of the appeal lies in the voice and the arrangements. Listening to two or three of his hits beforehand helps you follow the crowd.
What Is Not Known
Neither the theatre nor the promoter has named a support act, a running time or a set list. Neither has said whether Nassif Zeytoun will play any other date in Morocco on this trip.
The ticket page lists no age limit and no refund policy beyond the rule on latecomers. No Moroccan news outlet had covered the concert by 11 October, so the official pages are the only sources.
What Comes Next
Sales continue on events.ma until the categories sell out. Check the theatre’s programme page in early December for any change to times or access rules.
