Police have arrested a British-Iranian on suspicion of a terror offence following the incident near RAF Fairford.
A 27-year-old dual UK-Iranian national, from London, was detained earlier today, Counter Terror Policing (CTP) confirmed.
A spokesman for CTP said: "Counter Terrorism Policing has this afternoon (Thursday 1 October) made a further arrest in the investigation into activity that took place close to RAF Fairford on Sunday.
"A 27-year-old man, a dual UK/Iranian national, was arrested in the Borough of Westminster, London, on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
"A second man, 26, who is a UK national, has also been questioned under caution. "Searches of two properties have also been carried out in the same area"
Meanwhile, Senior National Coordinator for Counter Terrorism Policing Vicki Evans said: "The investigation into circumstances surrounding events in Gloucestershire is hugely complex, and our specialist teams are interrogating multiple lines of enquiry.
"As we’ve made clear, we’re looking at all possible angles – including possible foreign state involvement. I’d like to thank the public for their continued support and patience whilst we work through this investigation"
Last Sunday, in the early hours, five men were arrested on suspicion of explosives offences, and later terror offences.
A local farmer alerted the emergency services after spotting three suspicious vehicles accompanied by a group of masked men.
The five men - all in their 20s and from London - were released on police bail earlier this week.
