The Princess of Wales was taken by the hand by Tom Cruise this evening, as he guided her down a set of stairs at the Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square for the world premiere of his latest film, Digger.
Catherine looked resplendent in a floor-length royal purple gown by Jenny Packham, complemented by the Queen Mother's amethyst sauron necklace and earrings that once belonged to Diana, Princess of Wales.
Queen Camilla had previously worn the same necklace to the Skyfall premiere at the Royal Albert Hall back in October 2012.
Upon greeting the 64-year-old actor, Catherine kissed him warmly on both cheeks, with director Alejandro G. Iñárritu also on hand to welcome the royal guests.
Prince William cut a sharp figure in black tie, drawing enthusiastic cheers from the assembled crowd as the couple made their entrance to the star-studded event.
Mr Cruise himself caused quite the stir on the red carpet by debuting a bold red hairstyle, a dramatic departure from his familiar dark locks.
Ahead of William and Catherine's arrival, Mr Cruise said: "I just love them. They are lovely people and I have great respect for them."

The couple share a friendly relationship with the Hollywood star, and previously met him at the UK launch of Top Gun: Maverick in May 2022.
In the trailer for Digger, Mr Cruise appears virtually unrecognisable, speaking in a Southern accent as he navigates the consequences of his character's catastrophic business dealings.
Directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu - the two-time Oscar winner behind Birdman and The Revenant - Digger is being billed as a satirical black comedy.
The film marks Mr Cruise's first outing since Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning landed in 2025, and early reactions suggest it could earn him serious awards recognition.
Digger arrives in cinemas on October 2.

Earlier in the day, the heir to the throne had swapped the glamour of Leicester Square for a rather more modest setting, rolling up his sleeves behind the counter at ActOne Cinema in Acton, west London.
The community venue, housed in a former library, was marking its fifth anniversary, and William threw himself into the celebrations by serving popcorn and selling tickets to delighted cinemagoers.

Handing a bag of salted popcorn to three regulars who said they planned to share, the Prince quipped: "Are you sure? Everybody needs their own popcorn - it's more-ish."
He also spent time with aspiring young filmmakers, some of whom have had short films selected for October's Ealing Film Festival, urging them to maintain self-belief in the face of industry headwinds.
Cathy Johns, 71, who received her popcorn from William, said: "He did pretty well, he needed a bit of help from the regulars."
