This is one of those rare occasions where I don’t support hunting.
A resident in North Carolina recently experienced something that they’ll probably never experience again, and that was sighting a rare albino deer. And to make the moment even more special, they caught it on camera when it ventured out of the woods. (RELATED: Epic Video Of Man Saving Bald Eagle Will Have You Feeling Like A Proud American)
Out of Greensboro, North Carolina, footage shows the deer looking for something to eat around a tree line located near an apparent construction site.
A genetic condition, albinism doesn’t allow animals to produce melanin, which is the pigment that provides them with color to their hair, eyes and skin. When it comes to albino deer, they’re extraordinarily rare, with only 1 in 30,000 deer having the condition, according to the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. As far as spotting one in the wild, the chances of that happening are at an even lower rate.

I mean, seriously, how can you not enjoy the views of a rare albino deer?
