Reform UK have pledged to cut energy bills by £250 a year within their first 100 days in government if they win the next General Election.
Richard Tice, the party's Deputy Leader, will set out policy on electricity and gas bills, scrapping carbon taxes on generators and permanently removing VAT from consumer energy bills.
The plan includes removing the tax on gas generators from the UK Emissions Trading Scheme and the Carbon Price Support, and it will be announced in a speech at the Reform UK 2026 National Conference.
Mr Tice will also set out the party’s intention to repeal a number of policies which they claim will increase gas and electricity bills, such as the Renewables Obligation, Feed-in Tariffs, Warm Homes Discount, and Green Gas Levy.
They say these represent an extra £80 on household energy bills.
Reform UK Deputy Leader & Shadow Energy Secretary Richard Tice MP said: "Households have been squeezed year after year, despite the fact that the wholesale price of gas has fallen since 2022.
"Successive Conservative and Labour governments have layered cost upon cost onto consumer bills in the name of Net Zero, with little regard to the struggles of the British billpayer that bears them.
"The cost of energy in the UK represents a national crisis.
"And as such, a Reform UK government would take extraordinary measures to bring costs down, restore fairness to the energy sector, and take urgent action within 100 days of taking office to put an extra £250 a year back into your pockets."

Wes Streeting has said Britain’s commitment to the Falkland Islands is "absolute and unshakeable" after Argentinian President Javier Milei said his country needs to "recover these islands".
The Defence Secretary posted on X: "Milei’s statement overnight tells us more about domestic politics in Argentina than it does about the Falkland Islands.
"The Falklands are British because Falkland Islanders choose to be British.
"Our commitment to the Falklands is absolute and unshakeable."
Reform UK officials involved in illegal donations sting step down
Two senior Reform UK aides have stepped down from their roles in the party following an investigation into illegal party donations.
Footage from Channel 4 appeared to show the party's Head of Policy, James Orr, and Nigel Farage's long-serving aide, Dan Jukes, arranging for a US company to fund three polls for the party, costing a total of £32,500.
Party Chairman Lee Anderson has confirmed the party has launched an investigation, and Mr Orr and Mr Jukes have been "told" to step down from their roles.
The Ashfield MP told Sky News there is "no chance" of either of them coming back into the party.
Reform UK reported to police over claims of illegal donations
Reform UK have been reported to the police over allegations that it breached political donation rules by having polling paid for by an overseas company.
Rival parties have reported Reform to the police over claims by Channel 4 News that Reform took funding from a US firm for three polls it commissioned earlier this year costing £32,500.
The purported donors were, in fact, undercover reporters from the investigative group Verbatim, posing as an American financier and his UK-based son.
Foreign companies are not a permissible source of funding for parties, including for payments for studies and research, and accepting donations from them could constitute a criminal offence.
Labour Party chairwoman Bridget Phillipson has called on Mr Farage and his team to "urgently prove" that they had not "broken the law and secretly plotted to undermine our democracy".
In a letter to the Metropolitan Police, Liberal Democrat Cabinet Office spokeswoman Lisa Smart said the allegations raised "alarming questions about whether there has been a wider complacency toward foreign interference by the individuals involved".
Ms Phillipson reported allegations against Reform UK to the Metropolitan Police this morning.
Reform has denied any wrongdoing and insisted it has a "robust vetting process" for donors.
A spokesman for the party said: "Reform UK has launched an investigation following the broadcast of a Channel 4 News programme.
"Both individuals involved have stepped down from their respective positions pending the outcome of the investigation.
"The party believes it is important that the investigation is allowed to proceed independently and without prejudice.
"No further comment will be made while the investigation is ongoing."
Nigel Farage to declare national emergency on first day as prime minister: 'Time running out to save Britain!'
Nigel Farage is set to pledge a Reform UK government would declare a “national emergency” within its first day in office, as he prepares to outline a programme of action at the party’s 2026 National Conference.
The Reform UK leader will tomorrow argue Britain has been left in a critical condition after years of Conservative and Labour governments, accusing the Tories in particular of "wasting their 14 years in office".
In his speech, Mr Farage will warn “time is running out to save Britain”, arguing the country cannot afford to wait another decade for change.
He is also expected to criticise Labour figures, including Andy Burnham, over calls for another 10 years in government.
Central to his address will be a promise to dramatically accelerate the passage of legislation if Reform UK wins a majority at the next general election.
