Speedboat killer jailed after scarring girlfriend with a set of barbecue tongs in violent assault

A 39-year-old man has been jailed after scarring his girlfriend with a set of barbecue tongs in a violent assault.

Jack Shepherd, known as the speedboat killer, was jailed for one year and eight months at Isleworth Crown Court this morning.

In July, Shepherd pleaded guilty to two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and damaging property.
