Teenagers killed after car topples into River Wear named by Northumbria Police

Three teenagers who were killed after a car drove into the River Wear have been named by police.

Police today confirmed Jackson Duke, 17, as well as 16-year-olds Luke Etheridge and Zara Shaw, died in the incident.

Northumbria Police confirmed another 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

On Tuesday, an Audi A3 went into the water near Wearmouth Bridge, Sunderland, at around 1.30pm.
