A teenage girl from South Dakota was brutally murdered just two weeks after moving to Atlanta by her friend and her boyfriend, prosecutors say.
Morgan Bauer, 19, moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 2016 and met Katelyn Goble, who was also 19 at the time.
Investigators said Bauer and Goble, now 30, were working as exotic dancers.
Just two weeks after moving across the country, however, Bauer's horrific killing took place, according to WSB-TV.
In February 2016, Bauer was strangled to death by Goble and her boyfriend, Alex Warren, after she was lured to a home in Newton County, prosecutors said.
'But it didn't stop there. Over several days, they mutilated Morgan's body, they beheaded her, and they dismembered her,' Assistant District Attorney Bailey Wilkinson said.
Defense attorneys claim Goble had no part in the murder but helped dispose of the body.
During previous hearings cited by Court TV, prosecutors detailed disturbing allegations that Bauer's body was dismembered and eaten.

Bauer's bones were found in 2023 in Porterdale, Georgia, by the FBI and local law enforcement.
Defense attorney Mide Olaloye told jurors that Goble provided officials with information that led to the discovery of Bauer's remains.
Bauer was last seen leaving Top of Gainesville, a nightclub, on February 25, 2016.
Investigators said she left the club with a group of people and was dropped off at a Citgo gas station in Covington.
Bauer's mother, Sherri Keenan, told 11Alive that the last time she saw her daughter, she gave her something to keep her safe.
'We didn't really talk. I gave her a penny, though. I told her to put the penny in her pocket and keep it with her to keep her safe,' Keenan previously said.
'She was with a friend, but I don't know who he was. They walked off, and that was the last time I ever saw her.'
Goble is charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, tampering with evidence and concealing a death.

According to Court TV, prosecutors presented Goble's social media history as evidence, citing TikTok videos in which she allegedly discussed her fascination with serial killers and the occult.
Her boyfriend allegedly told officials that Goble had an interest in forensic pathology and desired to murder someone so she could dismember a body.
Goble was not arrested until 2023 and was initially charged with tampering with evidence before a grand jury returned a five-count indictment in October 2023, according to the outlet.
Her malice murder trial is expected to continue into next week.
