What on earth is going on in Jerry World?

Monday night’s plan for the Dallas Cowboys was to open up the roof of AT&T Stadium for their contest taking on the Houston Texans, however, that all changed after a huge piece of metal fell down from up above and slammed right onto the field. The Cowboys originally were opening the roof over two hours prior to kickoff.

“We can confirm a piece of metal came loose and fell to the field [with some additional small debris] while the roof was in the process of opening,” stated the Cowboys. “There were no injuries. It is being reviewed further, and a decision regarding the ability to re-open the roof safely will be made when possible.” (RELATED: Several ‘Trump Dance’ Celebrations Break Out Across NFL, And Damn, I Love Living In This America)

According to the franchise, high winds earlier in the day from storms were the reason for the metal falling onto the field, forcing the Cowboys to nix their plans and close the roof.

The AT&T Stadium roof hasn’t been open for a Dallas contest in the last two seasons.

For the first time in two years, the Dallas Cowboys opened the roof at AT&T Stadium ahead of Monday Night Football.

A large piece of metal then fell onto the field, and the roof was closed again.

When fans say the “sky is falling” this season … tonight it literally did. Piece of roof fell while opening the retractable roof. No injuries… just adding insult to it these days. #Cowboys pic.twitter.com/0PlVxhboMT

Cowboys PR and other front office staff is meeting together on the field at AT&T Stadium, and pointing up toward the roof.

It would seem the issues with the roof are not fully resolved yet, even after closing it. pic.twitter.com/JoJFJEbevX
