Police arrested “Home Improvement” star Jonathan Taylor Thomas after he allegedly kicked a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy in the stomach during a traffic stop.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the child star was arrested on suspicion of obstruction and public intoxication. They said he was the passenger in a car pulled over on the morning of Sept. 21 in Malibu when the alleged incident unfolded, according to TMZ.

Police alleged that Thomas was instructed to remain in the car but failed to comply, and reportedly kicked a deputy in the stomach as the officer attempted to arrest him, according to TMZ. Police arrested Thomas for obstructing and resisting an officer and processed him at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station’s jail on Monday. The famous actor was released from police custody Tuesday.
Thomas does not maintain a social media account.
His representatives declined to comment on the matter, according to TMZ.
