Kamala Harris’ Latest ‘Masterpiece’ of a Word Salad Seemed to Even Leave Don Lemon Confused

As the speculation surrounding the 2028 presidential election continues to grow, Kamala Harris is doing little to quell rumors that she is going to throw her hat in the ring once again. And if she does, rest assured that very little has changed since the last go around.

To celebrate Juneteenth, the former vice president first dropped an awkward video of herself attempting to dance to Beyoncé at a school. Her caption: “This is the joy we’re bringing all Juneteenth weekend.”

And then came Harris’ “must-watch Juneteenth conversation” with none other than Don Lemon. It was billed as an “unfiltered conversation about the state of the nation, the threats facing American democracy, and what’s at stake in the years ahead.”

The Word Salad ‘Masterpiece’

According to the episode description, this was Harris “like you’ve never seen her before” – except the former vice president behaved exactly as you would expect her to. At one point, Lemon himself even seemed like he was struggling to follow her logic about “hope” and grammar.

LEMON: So then what’s your case for hope?

HARRIS: You know, I believe that when we feel powerless, we are powerless; and when we feel powerful, we are powerful… We each have light inside of us, and we need to know that that is what inspires our hope as much as anything external to ourselves. And when we feel that and not allow an election or an individual to dampen that light, and instead let that light kind of carry us in particular through moments of darkness, that we not only act on that hope, but we inspire that hope in each other… It is so important that we not only have hope, but that we understand that that should be a verb, which means that hope has to go hand in hand with action… That hope combined with the action will result in us winning the midterms… And that we will also understand that that hope is consistent with a commitment to the fight, the fight for equality.

“Masterpiece” is how Megyn described the latest word salad on Monday’s edition of The Megyn Kelly Show. “Even Don Lemon is sitting there looking expressionless into the camera, like, ‘Where is this going? What is she saying,’” she noted.

Revisionist History

But in case you thought Lemon might actually be coming around to see the light, think again. “Just when you’re starting to think, maybeI misjudged him, maybe he sees through her, he is there to remind you: Guess again,” Megyn joked.

Here is how an emotional Lemon concluded the interview:

LEMON: You know, as you were sitting here, we were doing this interview, I have to tell you that I got a little bit overwhelmed, which I don’t, I don’t know where it came from. Because I’m sitting here with the first black vice president of the United States; woman, first black woman president; and um you know we’re celebrating Juneteenth, and I never could have imagined that I would be sitting in the seat interviewing someone like you. So we have made progress

HARRIS: Yes, we have.

LEMON: But we’ve got to do a lot in order to keep that progress, and you are, you are a part of that right now. So, thank you for what you do, and thank you for doing this, Madam Vice President. I really appreciate it.

HARRIS: Thank you, Don Lemon, and thank you for continuing with your calling as a journalist and always seeking truth, even when it may be at great personal risk and sacrifice.

Harris was obviously alluding to Lemon’s arrest after he embedded with anti-ICE protesters in Minnesota in January, but, contrary to her praise of his “great personal risk” and “sacrifice,” Megyn said Lemon has demonstrated nothing of the sort.

“Don Lemon was not facing any great personal risk when he stormed that church in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was creating chaos and danger for the peaceful churchgoers around him,” she explained. “He is an agent of chaos. He is not some brave, intrepid journalist risking it all. That is why he got indicted.”

2028 Delusions?

It is also why, in Megyn’s view, neither Harris nor Lemon will see any presidential ambitions they may have fulfilled. “Neither one of these people is going to be anywhere near the presidency, I’m sorry to tell you,” she said. “[Harris’] days are over. She blackmailed Joe Biden into the position by calling him a racist on the debate stage, and then he had to choose a black woman because Democratic Party understands that is their core voting block. She wasn’t chosen because she is particularly talented. There are very talented black women. She is not on the list.”

“But even that moron there on screen left [Lemon] has talked about running for president,” Megyn added. “Don Lemon thinks he can run for president, too. Okay, great. I would love to cover that. I hope he does.”
