Suella Braverman has declared she will fight "tooth and nail" to protect Brexit from Andy Burnham's potential U-turn.
Speaking to GB News, the Reform UK Education spokesman hit out at the Prime Minister after confirming the option is on the table, branding it a "disgrace".
Discussing his plans for an EU reset, Mr Burnham told GB News on Wednesday that he will "look at all options" before making his decision on Britain's future.
He said: "George Osborne's put an option forward, Canada have talked about a different relationship with the European Union.
"I can't leave Britain out of those discussions. We do have to have an honest and grown-up conversation about well, what could a future relationship look like?
"And then come back to the public and say, well, here are the broad options, and here are the issues involved with each of them. That's just the right way to lead. I've got to do what's best for this country."
Reacting to the potential U-turn by the Prime Minister, Mrs Braverman told the People's Channel: "I think they are trying to become the remain party and rerun the referendum that happened a decade ago.
"That really displays a high level of contempt for the 17.4 million people who voted for sovereignty, who voted for less immigration, who voted for control."

The Reform MP argued that if Mr Burnham goes ahead "without a mandate" and rejoins the European Union, it will be a "betrayal" of Britons.
She said: "I think to do it without a mandate and just assume that he knows best and can undo Brexit is a big insult to the British people.
"It is a disgrace, frankly. And listen, if that's what he wants to do, I'm up for the fight.
"I will fight tooth and nail, day and night to protect Brexit and to deliver on the promises of freedom that Brexit represented."

Turning to Reform UK's pledge to transform the country in "100 days", host Martin Daubney pressed Mrs Braverman on just how they plan to achieve such change in so little time.
Mrs Braverman said: "I think the 100 day pledge that we've all made in the Shadow Cabinet are really important, because people don't trust politicians when they make promises.
"And I, for one, am fed up of politicians who say things like Andy Burnham saying he doesn't want to reopen the Brexit deal a few months ago, when he was seeking election, only to completely U-turn and say now he wants to rejoin the EU. So I'm fed up of that."
She argued: "Reform is different, and whether it's 100 days to stop the boats, 100 days to raise the punitive personal tax allowance, or whether, for my part, in 100 days I've got work to do if I have the honour of being Reform's Education Secretary for the country, I will be cutting 20 per cent from our student loan budget, because there's far too much taxpayer money being wasted on Mickey Mouse degrees at university."
Mrs Braverman told GB News that she will 'resign' if she fails to achieve her pledges within 100 days of a Reform Government

Mrs Braverman told GB News she will also lift the cap on the number of medical training places in the UK.
She said: "I will lift the arbitrary and ineffective cap on medical training places.
"Instead of 8,000 places to train up UK doctors, we should lift that so that we are actually training our homegrown British doctors rather than importing thousands of doctors from abroad.
"And if I don't do those things, I'll resign."
